Fishing in Central Florida - Bass Capital of the World

Florida Fishing

In Central Florida's Polk County

Central Florida Polk County's 554 lakes are excellent homes for largemouth bass – anglers catch so many here that we’re known as the "Bass Capital of the World." But in Central Florida's Polk County, there's more to be caught than just bass. Fish for bluegill (bream), crappie (speckled perch), catfish, shellcrackers and more. You don't have to be an experienced angler to reel in a big catch.
