Festival Rules

www.visitcentralflorida.org/festival/rules.php The “Name That Festival” Contest is open to anyone with a creative idea. All participants agree to be bound by the following rules: Employees of Polk County Government Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) including, the Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau, Sports Marketing (PCTSM)and sponsors and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate family members, are eligible. No purchase necessary. You are automatically entered when you complete the “Name That Festival” Contest Entry Form via e-mail (only to dawn@centralfloridasports.com), Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing (PCTSM) web site (only at http://www.visitcentralflorida.org/festival) or by U.S Mail. The odds of winning are contingent on the number of entries received. You may enter as many times as you like. All federal, state and local laws apply. Void where prohibited by law. Payment of taxes imposed on the prize winner will be the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize is not transferable and not redeemable for cash. All contest entries must be received by Midnight July 22nd 2007, Eastern time. The winner will be announced July 24, 2007 on PGTV’s “Sports Central” TV show. (Bright House 19, Comcast 33 or www.polk-county.net) between 5:30pm-6:30pm (or after the City of Lakeland's live Code Enforcement meeting) and it will be posted to http://www.visitcentralflorida.org/festival on July 25. The winner will be notified by phone or email and must claim the prize within 24-hours of notice or contestant will forfeit the prize, although the festival name could still be used. Winner must provide phone number and valid email address in entry. In case of inclement weather the contest package must be used within one year of the drawing date (by/on July 24, 2008). PCTSM is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, illegible, mutilated or for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological gliches. If 2(two)entries are submitted with the exact name and the winning festival name is chosen from the two, the prize will be given to the entry entered first. All entries become the property of the Polk County Government Board of County Commissioners and the Tourism and Sports Marketing Department. Entrants grant Polk County Tourism and/or Sports Marketing the right to publish their name in print and on-line in connection with the “Name That Festival” Contest without any further obligation to the contest participant once the prize has been awarded including the contest participant name, voice, biographical data and likeness for promotional purposes may also be used without additional finacncial or other compensation and must sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. The winner must also sign a prize receipt and certify compliance with all eligibility requirements prior to release of the prize. Once the winning name is chosen, the decision is final and once this contest has concluded the official name for the festival will be posted on http://www.visitcentralflorida.org/festival.

The prize will include 2 (two) V.I.P passes to the Festival (name to be announced) on November 9-11, 2007 as well as a hot air balloon ride during the festival at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida.

Winner and 1 (one) guest must provide their own transportation to and from the Festival. No reimbursement will be made for travel of any kind to and or from the event. By participating, entrants agree that the BoCC, and those involved in the development, production (including prize suppliers), implementation and distribution of the Contest and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, and agencies, and their directors, officers, agents, employees, attorneys, and any other person or entity associated with such entities and/or promotion (hereinafter collectively called "Promoters"), shall not be liable for any claims, damages, losses or injuries, including any third party claims, arising from or relating to, in whole or in part, the Contest, including Entry and participation in the Contest and acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prizes. Promoters shall not be liable for Entries that are delayed, lost, misdirected, misdelivered, inaudible, incorrect or incomplete, and such Entries will not be eligible for the Contest. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Contest will be ineligible for prizes. The BoCC reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend a Contest should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their control corrupt the proper administration or security of a Contest. PCTSM reserves the right to modify the rules of the Contest in any way or at any time, as long as reasonable notice is given and updates will be posted to this page. This Contest shall be governed by the laws of the Florida, United States of America.
