LEGOLAND® Florida Resort

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort will officially reopen on June 1. The Resort’s extensive plan of enhanced health and safety measures fully comply with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 2020-123.  As the health and safety of guests and employees at the Resort continues to be paramount, the plan includes reduced capacity, cashless payments, social distancing practices and enhanced cleaning regimes.

Safari Wilderness

Safari Wilderness is open for Drive Thru Safari Tours seven days a week. Reservations are required. 

Bok Tower Gardens

To provide the community with a beautiful destination for healthy walks and mental well-being, Bok Tower Gardens is reopening to the public on Monday, June 1, with regular gate operations. For limited contact service, visitors may purchase tickets online. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate upon arrival.

Visitors are required to adhere to strict physical distancing guidelines and remain at least six feet apart from other parties. Visitors should have a mask when they come to the Gardens for safety and courtesy to others. Masks should be worn when visiting indoor areas or when physical distancing cannot be achieved.

Streamsong Resort

The Lodge at Streamsong Resort will reopen on May 15. The resort is offering Stay & Play packages on Streamsong Black. Book at

Living Water Boat Cruises

Living Water Boat Cruises has reopened. Take a 1-3 hour pontoon boat cruise on Winter Haven's Chain of Lakes. You'll hear about Winter Haven's history, see wildlife, beautiful homes and more. 

Elite Cable Park

Elite Cable Park opened on May 4 with the following guidelines:

  • No group rates or events
  • No cash transactions
  • Limit to only 2 hours passes (Free for members)
  • Increased sanitation
  • Social distancing precautions
  • Minors must be accompanied by a guardian at all times

Elite Cable Park strives to provide families and groups of friends with a safe, fun and friendly environment to enjoy water sports in Central Florida. 

Polk County Parks

Numerous Polk County parks, trails, campgrounds and community center computer labs will reopen on Friday, May 1. The Board of County Commissioners has announced their plan to gradually open venues where social distancing and professional sanitation practices can be maintained.

Circle B Bar Reserve and the Saddle Creek Gun range will remain closed until 8 a.m., Friday, May 8. Ball fields are also closed to all organized activities. 

County recreational facilities that open Friday, May 1 include:

  • All preserve trails. A complete list of these sites open on May 1 can be found at our website at
  •  Parks with trails for biking, disc golf, walking and nature, including Loyce Harpe Park and Northeast Regional Park, will be open. Please avoid congregating in parking areas and pavilions.
  • The boat ramps located at Coleman Landing, Lake Arbuckle, Lake Rosalie and Lake Hatchineha will reopen. All other boat ramps throughout the county were not previously closed.
  • Bone Valley ATV Park.
  • Campgrounds will be open with limited capacity.

Holloway Park

Holloway Park reopened on Friday, May 1. For more information, visit

Florida State Parks

The State Parks in Polk County are open for day use. This includes the following:

  • Allen David Broussard Catfish Creek Preserve State Park 
  • Colt Creek State Park 
  • Lake Kissimmee State Park

Wonder House Tours

Wonder House Tours is accepting reservations again for May. They have reduced the number of guests per tour, increased cleaning and recommend that you bring a mask, bandanna or buff to wear during your tour.

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo is accepting reservations beginning May 22, 2020.

Polk Museum of Art

The health, safety, and well-being of our visitors, our community, and our staff is of utmost importance to us during this time of heightened awareness over the COVID-19 virus. 

During the time Polk Museum of Art is closed, we will continue its thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing to ensure that when we do re-open the Museum can once again offer a respite in art and culture for all audiences.

The Shop at Polk Museum of Art is selling merchandise via Instagram. Be sure to follow the Museum as they will post a photo of select merchandise for sale in their stories and then all you have to do is direct message them with the item you’d like to purchase. Please know that all proceeds from sales importantly support the Museum and its programs.

At this time, Lake Wales Arts Council programming will be suspended until further notice. The Lake Wales Arts Center will also be closed until further notice.

Florida Air Museum

March 16, 2020

The Florida Air Museum will close to the public beginning March 16. The closure will remain in effect through a yet to be determined time. Recognizing the diverse populations the museum serves, the closure is undertaken to protect all ages, most critically, those in high-risk categories.
