Polk’s Nature Discovery Center at Circle B Bar Reserve offers a variety of nature based activities for all ages.

You don't want to miss out on any of the fun family-friendly activities that Circle B Bar Reserve has planned this month. Sign up for a tram tour, a workshop or just get outdoors and enjoy Polk’s water, wildlife, and wilderness. 

Trails are open 5:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., daily.

Nature Tour sign ups begin on the first working day of each month, to sign up please stop by the reception desk or call 863-668-4673 ext. 205.

Invasive Plant Removal

Come and make a difference by removing the invasive species Caesar weed. Bring your favorite pair of gloves, some water and plan to spend a couple of hours or as long as you can last – removing the Caesar weed. The work that has been done already is changing the landscape at the Reserve and staff needs a couple more hands to keep pushing forward.  

Sierra Club Planting – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Contribute to Polk County’s jewel of Nature Education, the Nature Discovery Center. During this outing, the group will be beautifying the grounds by planting different native plants.  Learn about native plants and enjoy the company of like-minded people. Snakes Alive!

  • Thursday, May 11 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

This event will be presented by Scott Spaulding, DEP State Park Manager, Lake Louisa State Park and the presentation is brought to Circle B by The Sierra Club.

This is your opportunity to see a variety of live snakes and learn about snakes of Florida, including venomous and invasive varieties.

Program starts at 7:00 p.m. and the covered dish dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. (if you wish to participate, please bring a dish to share, and bring your own drink and utensils).  Bring a flashlight for the parking lot.
