Begin your morning with a quaint breakfast, kick off your afternoon with a delightful lunch, or partake in a Friday Night at Britt’s Café located on Harden Boulevard in Lakeland.
Don’t pass by this cozy corner restaurant without stepping in to order their delicious classic American cuisine with a bit of a bistro flair.
Unlike many chain restaurants, Britt’s main emphasis is to operate for the people and achieves this by focusing on the customers and the quality of their experience.
This cozy café is all about fair prices, quick service, fresh ingredients and a family atmosphere. Britt’s café lends visitors that “at home feel” while serving up made-from-scratch dishes using high-quality ingredients. Part of this “at home” atmosphere is due to the family of staff, many whom have been part of the café for over ten years.
Owner Todd Sitte first began his career in the hospitality industry, and then moved onto restaurant management before opening Britt’s Café in 1997. Todd named the café after his daughter whose middle name is Brittany. Wife and co-owner Carla Sitte also plays an integral role in handling the marketing of the business.
Customers are sure to spot the local flair infused into the menu. With items such as the Circle B and Carillon sandwiches, the Mirror and Morton salads, and the Grady Judd All American burger, there is no denying that this hometown café is located in Polk County. Another thing customers are sure to notice is the grill visibly located in the front rather than hidden in the back. Carla explained that Britt’s has no secrets. With the grill located for all to see, customers are able to watch the preparation of their food and know what they are getting.
For first-timers dining in for breakfast, Carla recommends the popular Philly Omelet made with sirloin steak or grilled chicken, mushrooms, peppers, onions and Provolone, the Nitty Gritty , a bowl of tasty grits, topped with fresh eggs, cheese, and sausage or bacon, or a Classic Egg Combo made with one of six customizable combinations.
Lunch guests will discover offerings of burgers, subs, wraps, salads and more. The Britt’s Burger topped with tangy sweet Bar-B-Q, bacon, fried onion rings and Provolone, “Lakeland’s Best Cuban Sandwich”, made with authentic Cuban bread, and “Fresh-N-Tasty Refreshing Salads” are also highly recommended.
While Britt’s serves up breakfast and lunch every Monday through Saturday, this corner café also keeps its doors open every Friday evening for an all-you-can-eat fish fry. Customers are advised to arrive early on Friday evenings since this great deal has become a popular event for many locals.
Britt’s also offers daily and weekly specials and occasionally experiments with new recipes for the specials.
When guests stop into Britt’s Café for breakfast, lunch or a Friday fish fry, they are sure to find friendly southern hospitality with a local flair and expect a quality meal using only fresh ingredients.
