Cracker Culture: Florida Pioneer Dinner & Swamp Cabbage

Central Florida food and culture collide in this program dedicated to celebrating the history and future of Florida’s culinary pathways. Learn about Florida history while enjoying a traditional “cracker” meal. Florida pioneer Clayton Woodard will demonstrate how to harvest and prepare a uniquely native Florida dish made from our state tree: Swamp Cabbage. 

Bok Tower Gardens’ own Chef Matt Fulwood of the Blue Palmetto Cafe will create a traditional Florida meal featuring swamp cabbage and a fusion of dishes from our delicious past. Meal will be served with iced water, wine and craft beer.
