10:00 am - 3:00 pm
A unique spring celebration, held in support of the national “Week of the Young Child.” Draws attention to the importance of enhancing education through playful, interactive learning experiences rooted in the Museum’s exhibits and programs based in art, science, education and wellness. Volunteers from businesses, schools and organizations provide creative experiences for children to broaden their language, literacy & imaginative development outdoors and throughout three floors of the Children’s Museum. Event seeks to engage, inform and unite the community for a day of shared playful learning experiences for children and their families.
What's New at Explorations V Children's Museum? The Music Studio! Music ignites all areas of child development: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps body and mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For both children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills.
