Jan 23, 2017
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Harrison School for the Arts is proud to be hosting the “Sister Cities International” young artists and authors showcase on January 23, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. There will be a reception from 6 to 7 p.m. in the main rotunda in front of the art gallery and the authors will share their work in the film theatre.

Lakeland Sister Cities International (LSCI), a chapter of Sister Cities International, was formed in 1990. The mission of LSCI is to develop relationships with people and cities of similar interests to Lakeland from around the world. This unique program encourages cultural and educational exchanges, business opportunities and increased tourism by encouraging direct personal and professional relationships at the grassroots level.

Harrison School for the Arts Visual Arts department has been hosting this show for the past several years to exhibit all of the entries from our county in the national “Sister Cities” art competition. The work will be judged and the winning piece will be sent to the national level for further judging.
