The City of Lakeland’s Parks & Recreation Department and Jene's Tropicals will host Plantae Fructum on Saturday, June 17 in Hollis Garden. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of exotic fruiting plants. Jene’s Tropicals is a renowned nursery located in Saint Petersburg and they have the largest selection of exotic fruit plants and trees in the Tampa Bay area.  Jene’s Tropicals has been growing exotic fruit trees and tropical plants since 1987.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Hollis Garden.

Hollis Garden is a Botanic Garden set in a neoclassical architectural environment complete with patterned flower beds, public art and water features. This manicured beauty boasts more than 10,000 flowers, beautiful fountains and a picturesque view of Lake Mirror. Hollis Garden is located at 702 E. Orange Street in downtown Lakeland. The garden features piped-in classical music to set the mood as visitors drift through the rose garden, butterfly trail, and down a grand staircase of neoclassical design.
