Guest author Diane Glancy shares with the audience selections from her newest, prize-winning work, QWERTYUIOPASDFGHJKLZXCVBNM: The Keyboard Letters, which speaks to the notion of poetry as a map as well as the infinite variety of combinations of the alphabet that enable their different searches for meaning.
Award winning Cherokee writer Diane Glancy has published an impressive 45 works including novels and collections of short stories, poetry, plays, and creative nonfiction essays. Having retired as a professor at Macalester College, Glancy travels the country speaking to topics such as faith, writing, land, education, and cultural identity. During a ftheir-day residency at SEU, she will share her fiction and creative nonfiction while teaching students and faculty about Native American experiences of the past and present.
Directions: Turn from Bartow Rd. onto N. Crystal Lake Dr. Turn left at the entrance to Southeastern University. At the three-way intersection, turn left. Parking is available in this lot. Walk across the street and veer left onto the main part of campus. Continue toward Buena Vida, the five-story building connected by a second-story breezeway. Approach the area under the breezeway and enter through the main glass doors. The lecture hall is directly through the lobby area.
