Set a World Record with the Lakeland Flying Tigers

On Saturday, April 15 the Lakeland Flying Tigers baseball team will play a home game against the Charlotte Stone Crabs (Rays) at 1:00 p.m. In an effort to bring awareness to cancer, the Flying Tigers and World Record Ribbon will attempt to break a World Record before the game. Join 10,000 others at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland to create a triumphant human ribbon in purple (symbolizing all cancers).

Event Schedule

  • Gates to the stadium will open at 9:00 a.m. 
  • Ribbon formation begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • Game Opening Ceremony at Noon
  • Game begins at 1:05 p.m.

World Record Ribbon will have a Guinness Adjudicator on site to document the record - Saudi Arabia holds the record with 8,264 people. 

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the American Cancer Society.
