LEGOLAND® Florida Resort – For the Thrill Seeker with Kids
For the kids (and kids at heart) in your travel party, no Central Florida vacation is complete without a stop at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort in Winter Haven. Once home to Florida's first theme park, Cypress Gardens, the 150-acre interactive LEGOLAND® theme park still features the original botanical gardens along with the more than 50 rides, shows and attractions, restaurants, shops, LEGOLAND® Florida Water Park and LEGOLAND® Florida Hotel!
Safari Wilderness – For the Animal Lovers
If you’ve always dreamed of taking the family on an African safari, but just couldn’t find room in the budget, here’s your chance. Safari Wilderness is conveniently located just six miles north of I-4 between Orlando and Tampa, and was recently voted by Fodor’s Travel as one of the “10 Best Safaris in the U.S.” You’ll see Asian and African wildlife herds in huge, immersive natural landscapes, and witness the inner working of a genuine farm operation. It’s not a theatrical production for visitors - it’s the real thing!
We’re talking tours by authentic Safari bus or camel’s back and not just the opportunity to see exotic animals, but even to pet and feed them.
Bok Tower Gardens - For the Nature and Architecture Lovers
Explore the lush and meticulously landscaped gardens of famed landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., as you enjoy seasonal bursts of color among more than 150-acres of native, exotic and endangered flora and fauna.
The centerpiece of Bok Tower Gardens is the majestic 60-bell, 205-foot Singing Tower carillon featuring daily concerts at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Live concerts are scheduled seasonally from mid-October through mid-May.
No attraction would be complete without an awesome visitor’s center, café or gift shop, and Bok Tower’s won’t disappoint.
*Insider Tip: Don't miss out on the daily tours of the 20-room Mediterranean style mansion, Pinewood Estate. And for even more things to do, stop in the Visitor's Center to learn about the area's diverse history, and pick up maps to the gardens, including the Pine Ridge Nature Trail and Preserve Trail.
Florida Southern College (Frank Lloyd Wright) – For the Architecture Lover
Voted by The Princeton Review as “The Most Beautiful Campus in the Nation,” Florida Southern College is a National Historic Landmark and home to the world’s largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. Wright fans are familiar with his Child of the Sun collection, and those unfamiliar with his work can learn about the beauty and rich history of the campus during scheduled tours. You can’t come to Central Florida without visiting this landmark.
Westgate River Ranch Resort – For Those Who Should've Been Cowboys and Cowgirls
