As one of Central Florida's best places to enjoy our great weather while birding, hiking or searching for alligators, Circle B offers six miles of marked trails throughout the 1,267-acre preserve.

History of Circle B Bar Reserve

There was a time when cattle and cowboys roamed Circle B Bar Reserve, but what was once a functioning cattle ranch is now recognized by USA Today Travel as one of the 51 Great Places to See Wildlife.

It is considered one of the best places for birding during a Central Florida vacation as a result of the Banana Creek marsh system. Don’t visit the reserve without your camera; your Instagram followers will thank you.

Remnants of the cattle ranch days, such as pens and barns, still remain on the property and serve as a rustic backdrop for many a family and senior portraits.

Birding at Circle B

Don’t forget your logbook and binoculars - it’s nothing to spot an osprey feeding its young, eagle soaring, or Anhinga dive-bombing a fish when out and about at Circle B Bar Reserve. The 1,267-acre property features several diverse Central Florida habitats including freshwater marshes, hardwood swamps, oak hammocks, creeks and lakes, which are home to a wide variety of ducks, shorebirds, wading birds, native and migrant landbirds, ospreys, bald eagles, and to more than 45-species of butterflies.
