The pristine waters of Lake Kissimmee are known for producing loads of largemouth bass and provide spectacular views of wildlife and unique ecosystems along its shores. At nearly 40,000-acres, it is Polk County’s largest lake.
Fishing in Central Florida
Although it’s well known that Lake Kissimmee produces quality largemouth bass catches, the fishing pressure remains light as bass and other species have ample area to hide bed along its heavily vegetated shores and in areas of the lake where conventional boats aren’t able to venture. The result is mature fish that have had few encounters with aggressive angler AKA a wealth of 5+ pound bass. Lake Kissimmee is a big lake, the largest in Polk County, in fact.
Captain Scott Taylor of TMC Guide Services will be happy to help you find largemouth bass, sunshine bass, bluegills, shell crackers and speckled perch (crappies) in Lake Kissimmee, Tenoroc Fishing Management Area or Winter Haven's Chain of Lakes. We encourage you to let TMC Guide Service plan your Florida fishing vacation.
