Mary Lang’s Grapefruit Pie

By: Jessica Roberts

Smack dab in the heart of Central Florida, about half way between Orlando and Tampa, you’ll find a tasty treat in the award winning grapefruit pie served at Lang Sun Country Grove’s Taste of Florida Café. Originating from a Lang family-favorite recipe, the uniquely sweet and tart grapefruit pie found world fame after being featured on The Food Network show “Epicurious!” Open during citrus season (generally October until May), the Taste of Florida Café offers up good old Southern hospitality in their homemade soups, salads and sandwiches. Just be sure to save room for dessert.
