The Lake Wales Museum will host the 43rd Annual Pioneer Days and Beers with Pioneers Festival on Saturday, October 27 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday, October 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is a heritage celebration for the whole family with free admission and parking on both days. On Saturday, October 27, the new Beers with Pioneers craft brew event will take place from 4 – 9 p.m. A special admission ticket is required for Beers with Pioneers.

Pioneer Days Festival also includes honoring a recipient of the annual “Pioneer of the Year,” award. Each year since 1977, the Lake Wales Museum has recognized a resident of Lake Wales who has made an outstanding contribution to the quality of life and community of Lake Wales, and we are now accepting nominations. If you know someone who has lived in Lake Wales and made a significant contribution to our community, please consider submitting a nomination.  

Entertainment will feature dance performances and live bands, guitarists, and vocalists playing familiar folk, bluegrass, country, 50's, 60's & 70's tunes. The Lake Wales High School Highlander Band will perform at the beginning of the Pioneer of the Year Celebration beginning at 10 AM on Saturday, October 27.

About the Lake Wales Museum
