Add a little pep in your step as you enjoy a summer display of pepper plants at Bok Tower Gardens during Spice Up Your Summer.
Spice Up Your Summer – the Sweet, Hot & Tangy Way
Enjoy a spicy stroll through the Gardens as hundreds of edible and ornamental pepper plants add a rainbow of color and texture. We know peppers can be sweet, hot, and terrifically tangy, and this summer you can learn more about the world of these vibrant plants.
Workshops include:
- Learn how to make your own hot sauce on June 26.
- Learn the health benefits of hot peppers and make your own ‘fire cider’ to take home on July 24.
Spice Up Your Home Garden
While you’re there, stop by The Shop at Bok and take the beauty of peppers to your home garden or landscape. You will find many peppers available for purchase, including the bushy bright yellow euchu and everyone’s favorite, the purple flash.
Make Time for a Spicy Lunch or Dinner
Turn up your taste buds at The Blue Palmetto Cafe. The summer menu will feature Chef Fulwood’s World Famous Salsa, plus his all-new Roasted Poblano Pepper Guacamole. Plan accordingly because the Cafe is also hosting Taco Tuesdays and serving delicious Sangria by the bottle or glass.
