Platform Art

Platform Art, Inc., a non-profit cultural arts organization, enriches communities by providing forums for art experiences and supports the creation of public art. By commissioning nationally prominent artists to develop collaborative and multi-disciplinary projects, we transform the cultural life of Central Florida and increase cultural tourism and economic development.

Platform Art has established itself as a trailblazer in creating and promoting public art projects. We continue to seek opportunities to present leading edge, contemporary art.
We are a non-profit cultural arts organization, enriches communities by providing forums for art experiences and supporting the creation of public art. We are a community-centered collaboration of artisans and art lovers  showcasing new and exciting talent in the fields of visual arts, film, fashion, music and performance.

Present socially-engaging art projects.
Public art representing multiple perspectives and genres opens the community to new ideas, cultures, and appreciation. Platform Art will seek out and support opportunities to showcase a diversity of art forms.
Create site-sensitive works that enhance public spaces.
Art ideally fits within its environment, sensitive to space, size, and surroundings. Platform Art will commission works of art that complement and enhance the spaces for which they are designed.
Commission nationally prominent artists to develop collaborative and multi-disciplinary projects that transform the cultural life of communities.
Showcasing unique artists of national stature will enhance the community’s cultural offerings and bring recognition as an arts destination. Platform Art will collaborate with the larger arts community to advance local appreciation of world class art.
Offer student artists opportunities to work in the public realm.
Young artists thrive when given opportunities to work with professional artists and to exhibit their work in new forums. Platform Art will actively support students seeking higher education and careers in the art field.
Provide a platform for relevant, contemporary public art.
