Built upon reclaimed phosphate mining land in a remote area between Tampa and Orlando, Streamsong Resort is atypical of most Florida golf resorts. Streamsong trades palm trees, manicured flower beds, beach sand bunkers and house lined fairways for towering sand dunes, expansive waste areas, native grasses and sweeping vistas across the Central Florida horizon.
Golf at Streamsong Resort
Golf publications world-wide continue to recognize Streamsong as 54 of the most spectacular golf holes in the United States.
Streamsong Black
As a proper complement to the highly acclaimed Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue, Streamsong’s third championship layout, the widely acclaimed Streamsong Black opened in late 2017.
Streamsong Black is designed by acclaimed golf course architect Gil Hanse, designer of the 2016 Olympic Course in Rio de Janeiro, Castle Stuart Golf Links in Inverness, Scotland (host of the Scottish Open), Los Angeles Country Club (North and South).
Streamsong Black, Par 73, is an expansive, strategic and melodic layout with rolling terrain, sand and vistas reminiscent of the Sand Belt of Australia. Tee time reservations are available through two and three-night golf packages.
Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue
Streamsong Resort’s Red Course, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and the Blue Course designed by Tom Doak, utilize the natural contours, sand dunes and native grasses to offer a golf experience that is reminiscent of the links-style courses of the British Isles.
Accolades Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue include: Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 You Can Play” (#12 Red; #16 Blue), Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” (#18 Red; #24 Blue) and Golfweek’s “Best Resort Courses” (#12 Red; #14 Blue). Even mainstream media outlets are saying great things about Streamsong with the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Men’s Journal, USA Today, DuPont Registry, TripAdvisor and some many others raving about the resort and its amenities.
Golf Courses Designed for Walking
Mark Twain famously opined that “Golf is a good walk spoiled,” but good news, dear reader, that is not the case at these elegant courses. At Streamsong you will cherish your connection to the striking scenery by walking during your round.
Courses at Streamsong Resort have been designed with greens and tees in close proximity, and long walks between holes are non-existent. Walking is preferred and the clubhouse staff will recommend a trusty caddy or provide you with a bag cart to ease the load during your round.
