A tour group of travel agents from the Canadian Auto Association – Canada’s AAA – toured Polk County in late October. Hosted by Joni Allen and Jessica Roberts, the 12 agents visited LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Bok Tower Gardens, Safari Wilderness Ranch, Westgate River Ranch and Ridge Island Groves, and dined at numerous local favorites while here.
But that wasn’t all.
The agents experienced their first airboat ride from Alligator Cove Airboat Rides at Camp Mack Resort. Since CAA is a partner of not only LEGOLAND Florida Resort but also Best Western and Marriott hotels, site visits were conducted at the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn at Lakeland’s Lakeside Village, TownePlace Suites in Lakeland, Best Western Auburndale and the under-construction Marriott Courtyard in Winter Haven, as well as the Lakeland Terrace Hotel.
Testimonials from the agents included, “I can now take feeding a lemur and a water buffalo off my bucket list,” to “I have such a new perspective on what Central Florida has to offer.”
