Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant Tickets Go On Sale

Event’s New Home to Welcome Preliminary Pageant Winners in June

The beginning of a new chapter in the Miss Florida Pageant and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant begins this week when tickets to the 2016 Pageant go on sale at The Lakeland Center. For the first time in the events 81 year history, the Pageant will be held in Lakeland, the Pageant’s new home.

The 81st Annual Miss Florida Pageant and Miss
Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant will be held at The Lakeland Center’s Youkey
Theatre June 28 through July 2. The Miss Florida Pageant is a preliminary
competition to the Miss America Pageant which is the world’s largest provider
of scholarship assistance for young women and one of nation’s largest achievement
programs.

MaryKatherine
Fechtel, Miss Florida 2015, won her title in June 2015 when she competed with
47 other young women for the opportunity to represent the Sunshine State.
MaryKatherine competed in the 2016 Miss America Pageant and was named a Top Ten
Finalist and Preliminary Swimsuit winner receiving an additional $8,000 in
scholarships.

The Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen program features young ladies between the ages of 13 and 17 competing for the honor of representing the Sunshine State at the 2017 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando. The 2015 Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen, Leah Roddenberry, has accompanied Miss Florida on appearances during her reign, and serves as goodwill ambassador throughout the state.

This summer’s newly crowned Miss Florida will represent the State of Florida at the 2017 Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City and will travel the state promoting her personal platform. Miss Florida also serves as a state ambassador for Miss America’s national platform partner, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and as an official spokesperson for protection and preservation of America’s Everglades.

Tickets
for the preliminary competitions and final rounds of the competition went on
sale to the public on Tuesday, March 15
th at 9:30am. Tickets are
available at The Lakeland Center Box Office, by calling 863-834-8111, online at

Adults: $35.00; Children (2-12): $15.00

July 1

Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Preliminary Competitions

4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Adults: $40.00; Children (2-12): $20.00 – Ticket is valid for both sessions

July 2

Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant
4:00 p.m.
Adults: $85.00; Children (2-12): $40.00 – Ticket is also good for Miss Florida Pageant

Miss Florida Pageant
8:00 p.m.
Adults: $85.00; Children (2-12): $40.00 – Ticket is also good for Miss Florida Outstanding Teen Pageant
