Happy Fall, y’all! Summer has passed and cooler temperatures have arrived so get outside and enjoy some popular fall festivals and Halloween events in Polk County. While COVID-19 has cancelled many of our annual events, we still have a few that your kids will enjoy.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort Brick-or-Treat
October 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 & 31
On weekends in October, your family can experience the spooky, kooky fun of one of the most popular Halloween Events in Central Florida! Visit LEGOLAND Florida Resort and enjoy neighborhood-style trick-or-treating, plus plenty of spooktacular sweets plus seasonal shows. Additionally, Brick-or-Treat weekends include exclusive creepy-cool LEGO characters in the ultimate kids Halloween celebration. Brick-or-Treat is included with regular day admission.
Ghosts, Goblins, & Goodies
October 24, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Start your trick or treating at Central Florida’s Visitor Information Center‘s annual Ghosts, Goblins, & Goodies. This free family-friendly fall festival includes a pumpkin carving contest. Food and gifts will be available for purchase from local vendors. Most importantly, vendors will be passing our candy for the kids. Costumes are welcome.
Tales from the Tower
October 14, 28 and November 11
Bok Tower Gardens hosts events for both children and adults this fall, including Tales from the Tower. During this special event, kids (ages 6-12) will cross the Tower moat and sit in front of The Great Brass Door for story time.
Buckingham Terror Haunted House
October 23-24 and 30-31
Buckingham Terror Haunted House is a community event that engages teens and provides an amazing experience for locals and visitors looking for fun in the Halloween season. 2020’s theme is Twisted Forest: Beware the Witches’ Vengeance. If you love to be in scary situations, then this haunted house is for you! Buckingham Terror is for children over 10, and not for the faint of heart. All proceeds benefit Camp Fire, a non-profit youth agency.
Wonder House Halloween Tours
Weekends in October
The historic Wonder House is offering day and nighttime Halloween Tours in October. During tours of this 5,700-sqr. ft. historic home in Bartow, guests will be entertained with ghost stories, sweet treats and personal oddity collections on display.
