One of Central Florida’s premier restaurants, Nineteen61 is a conceptualized restaurant that integrates modern cuisine from Spain with Latin American and Southern US propensities. Nineteen61, located in the heart of downtown Lakeland, is the brainchild of Chef Marcos Fernandez, who named the restaurant after the year his parents were exiled from Cuba.
Chef Marcos states that “With the understanding of quality and the value of creating an in depth memorable experience beyond a crafted dish, the wine poured in your glass, and linens on your table- we believe it requires more than just that. Satisfying our appetite to offer the Nineteen61 experience requires partnering with local growers for pure and rich ingredients: our chickens, our pigs, our honey, our produce.”
