LEGOLAND Florida is one of many things for kids to do in Central Florida and below you will find more kid-friendly things to do in Lakeland, Winter Haven and surrounding communities.

1 . Bok Tower Gardens

After LEGOLAND opened in Winter Haven, Bok Tower Gardens saw an opportunity to expand its attraction to welcome visitors of all ages. Bok Tower Gardens is the closest kid-friendly attraction and features Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden. Young explorers can play in water features, climb through a spider web inspired play area, build and dig their way through sand circles, perform impromptu theatre and create beautiful works of art in Doodle Bug Art Place. Overall, Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden has 18 sections for kids to play.

2. Safari Wilderness

Did you know you can experience an animal safari right here in Central Florida? Safari Wilderness is one of the top things to do with kids in Lakeland, FL. Your family will hop into a custom safari vehicle and a knowledgeable tour guide will lead you through 260-acres of wetlands. You will see huge herds of exotic species usually found on the continents of Africa and Asia. Safari Wilderness is not a zoo! Access to the grounds is in very small groups and tours are offered by reservation only. Safari Wilderness is an experience your kids won’t soon forget.

3. Bonnet Springs Park

Bonnet Springs Park is an incredible 168 acre oasis, located next to downtown Lakeland. The park is an incredible attraction encompassing gardens, a secret tree house, a tree top trail, a history gallery, dining options, lots of events and the 48,000 square ft Florida Children’s Museum. Bonnet Springs Park is a great place to spend the whole day, and while here why not hop down to Downtown Lakeland afterwards for dinner?

4. Florida Children’s Museum

Florida Children’s Museum is the perfect place for hands-on learning for children of all ages and abilites. The museum features 6 galleries throughout 47,800 square feet curated for all children to explore. With two floors of interactive exhibits, your child can spend hours delving into fun learning opportunities. The Museum has something to offer for babies up to children aged 12.

5. The Living Water Boat Cruises

One of the best things about Winter Haven is the city’s Chain of Lakes, and there’s no better way to see the chain than a tour with The Living Water Boat Cruises. Included in the many tours offered is a LEGOLAND Pirate Ski Show tour with 1 and 2 hour options.
