Bonnet Springs Park Grand Opening with Singer Hunter Hayes, Sister Hazel and More
This October will see the opening of the new Bonnet Springs Park in Lakeland. This 168-acre park will bring together nature, recreation, art, music, wellness and learning in a unique urban environment. The park will be home to gardens, trails, lake activities, as well as some incredible facilities such as the Florida Children’s Museum, the Hollis Family Welcome Center, and a 7,000 square food events center.
Singing Stars, Giant Butterflies, Food Trucks, and Fireworks
The opening weekend promises to have a packed program of activities and fun. Singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes will be performing at the opening, as will The Band Perry, Sister Hazel, The Spin Doctors, and more!
Bike Zoo will also be present both Saturday and Sunday, where gusts will have the opportunity to interact with larger-then-life hand-built creatures like butterflies, owls and armadillos. The folks from Busch Gardens and Gatorland will be there for encounters on the animal stage. Plus, there will be train rides, face-painting, strolling performers, nature activities, and mascot meet and greets including the Tampa Bay Lightning Thunderbug!
Schedule
On Saturday the opening runs from 10 am to 8:30 pm and finishes with the Hunter Hayes concert followed by fireworks. On Sunday the event runs from 10 AM to 7 PM finishing with the Spin Doctors concert.

Parking and Shuttle Services
There will be no available parking at the park for opening weekend, instead the park has secured some parking lots throughout the city with regular shuttles connecting with the park. Shuttles run from 9AM. Take a look at the map below for the parking spots in Lakeland.
You may also use rideshare services life Uber or Lyft, and there will be plenty of bike racks at the Hollis Family Welcome Center, Florida Children’s Musuem and the Event Center.
