The 2020 Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic will be held February 29 and March 1. This United States Cycling Federation sanctioned event will bring riders throughout Florida together for two days of racing and fun.

Saturday in the Alturas Area
The road race and time trials will be held in the Lake Buffum area east of Fort Meade (Lake Buffum Rd. and Summers Rd.) on Saturday. Races begin at 8:00 a.m. and a 7-mile TT will start at 4:00 p.m.
Sunday in Downtown Winter Haven
This year the criterium’s start/finish line will be on Magnolia Ave., in front of BB&T. Activities begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until through a 45 minute Cat 4/5 race that begins at 1:45 p.m. There is room and shade for everyone, so come on out and have a great time. Watch the race from Grove Roots Brewing Co., The Bike Shop of Winter Haven or Egg Haven.
Spectators are welcome at these events. All proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Athletic Department of Polk State College.
