Friday, October 6th – RUNA
Celebrating 14 years together as a band, Celtic-American Roots music “supergroup,” RUNA continues to push the boundaries of Irish folk music into the Americana and roots music formats. RUNA offers a thrilling and redefining take on traditional music by Interweaving Ireland and Scotland’s haunting melodies and exuberant tunes with the lush harmonies and intoxicating rhythms of jazz, bluegrass, flamenco, and blues.
Friday, October 20th – The Lubben Brothers
Triplets and high-energy acoustic musicians from the farmlands of Iowa, The Lubben Brothers specialize in tight vocal harmonies and an eclectic blend of folk instruments involving banjo, mandolin, tin whistle, accordion, hammered dulcimer, and fiddle. Diving into classical music at a young age, the Lubben Bros. modern songwriting style merges their folk roots with complex pop ideas.
Friday, November 3rd – Dervish
At the end of 2019, Dervish received a prestigious lifetime achievement award from the BBC, a fitting tribute to the band after over 30 years of recording and performing worldwide. Described by the BBC as “an icon of Irish music,” the band has played at festivals from Rio de Janeiro to Glastonbury. The band’s line-up includes some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, fronted by one of the country’s best-known singers, Cathy Jordan.
