Learn about the night sky with astronomers, meet animals who survive in the dark, and enjoy a special astronomy inspired carillon concert during HARMONY Dark Sky Star Party at Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, FL. Darkness adds to the aesthetic qualities of the wildness and is important to the health of wildlife. As most of the world faces the effects of artificial light pollution, the Dark Sky Party aims to educate visitors about the importance and magic of natural darkness. Learn how you can make the darkness enjoyable and safe for all Earth’s inhabitants.
Special lectures at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. with celebrated NASA astronaut Story Musgrave require a separate admission ticket. $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door. Space is limited.
