Azaleas is a community volunteer created mural in downtown Lake Wales.

This mural was created by Lake Wales community volunteers with little painting experience. The appealing display of vines and flowers has received appreciative comments from downtown customers and Lake Wales locals.

Just a few miles from Bok Tower Gardens, this wall of colorful azaleas is 45-feet long. These flowers come to life at The Gardens each spring. While you’re in town, make plans to visit Lake Wales History Museum. You’ll find more than 20 murals in the downtown area.

Azaleas

Amateurs with little painting experience tackled the E.R.A.D. building and created an appealing display of vines and flowers that has drawn appreciative comments from customers and others downtown. The taste of artistic accomplishment led the painters to work on other murals and take advantage of tips and pointers from professional artists.

Special thanks and recognition to Colleen Lowery, Susan Yolmeh, Tyson Burleigh, Debra Burleigh, Ben Sehi, Carol Tonjes, Emily Tonjes, and Brooke Adams for their dedication in completing this friendly flower garden.
