Grape Hammock Fish Camp & Airboat Rides

Located on the south end of Lake Kissimmee in Lake Wales, Grape Hammock Fish Camp offers RV and tent camping space, cabin rentals and airboat tours.

Grape Hammock Fish Camp

Grape Hammock Fish Camp is on the south end of Lake Kissimmee in Lake Wales. The camp has mobile homes, RV sites, tent camping sites, boat slips and cabin rentals. During an airboat swamp tour you’ll ride along the shores of Lake Kissimmee and Brama Island while viewing endangered birds, alligators, hogs, deer and other wildlife.

Camping

Rustic camping sites are available under the oak hammock, these sites are spacious with water & electric. Camp Fires are allowed and are located near restrooms and showers. The use of boat ramp and dump station are included.

Cabins

Cabins are nestled under an ancient Live Oak hammock; within walking distance to the lake. Each cabin has a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave & coffeemaker) and bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with basic kitchen cookware and place settings. All bedroom linens and bathroom towels are provided. Each unit has cable TV, air conditioning/heat and a grill outside. Boat launching, reserved dock space and parking are included with your stay.

Airboat Tours

Located in the headwaters of the Florida Everglades, your Grape Hammock airboat tour leaves from a family-operated fish camp on the south end of Lake Kissimmee, 25 miles east of Lake Wales and 25 miles west of Yeehaw Junction. Lake Kissimmee is known for its lunker bass, and spectacular scenery. It is also home to Brama Island (one of the largest freshwater islands in the US) and many endangered species. Your airboat swamp tour will offer a great view from every seat, giving you one of the best airboat rides possible!

Times for tours vary depending on the weather and the wildlife. Explore a lot of the different types of nature Florida provides during the ride like endangered birds, alligators, hogs, deer and various native wildlife!

Alligator Tours

When you take a trip on one of Grape Hammock Fish Camp’s alligator tours, you might catch gators wading in the water, sunbathing on the shore, sneaking up on a meal, or hatching from their shells. Besides gators, you could cruise past all sorts of native, endangered, and exotic creatures on your Central Florida airboat ride, including:

    • Birds
    • Deer
    • Hogs
    • Turtles
    • Toads
    • Snakes
