This 144-acre north Lakeland park is conveniently located just south of Interstate 4, and near hotels at Exits 32 and 33. Here you can kayak, take a yoga class, go fishing, attend a wedding, or just relax.
Lake Crago Outdoor Recreation Complex
This park is home to the City’s only public kayaking, canoeing and paddleboard facility, and at this time, kayak and canoe rentals can be scheduled online at lakelandgov.net. Lake Crago is a 70-acre body of water and is just one of the 5 lakes that this park boarders. You can launch your own kayak, canoe or paddleboard without an appointment, and there’s a public boat ramp onsite too.
You can walk along paved paths that wind through lush green spaces featuring more than 29 species of plants and trees. After your walk, make your way to the lakeside patio to kick back and relax while you enjoy beautiful lake views. If you want to make this visit even better, then bring lunch and have a picnic.
Classes & Activities
While this park offers many nature-driven amenities, it is also home to a beautiful 12,000-sqr. ft. facility that offers rental space, classrooms, and much more. The City hosts yoga and fitness classes throughout the week, and most classes are just $5.00. Classes include the following:
- Senior Fitness
- Tai-Chi for Beginners
- Gentle Yoga
- Tuned-Up Fitness
- Dance for Yoga
- Body, Mind & Soul for Seniors
If you’re traveling with your pup, then plan to stop by Lake Crago Dog Park which has wide open spaces for large and small dogs.
At this time, the Complex is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
