Annually, the members of the Florida Frontiersmen host the Alafia River Rendezvous – the largest pre-1840 living history encampment in the Southeast. Over 1,000 adults and hundreds of children establish a pre-1840 camp site on the Florida Frontiersmen club property. This event draws over one hundred traders and thousands of visitors and school children.
Public Days During Alafia River Rendezvous
Come spend the day experiencing a living portrayal of early life in America and stroll the 100+ acre property. The general public is welcome on the last Friday and Saturday of the event each year. Day visitors will enjoy music, games and learn about crafts such as broom making, blacksmithing, cooking, weaving and more.
THIS IS A CASH ONLY EVENT. Vendors will have food and primitive merchandise for sale.
This event takes place in Homeland, just a few miles south of Bartow.
