Jun 7, 2019
9:00 am – 5:30 pm
On June 7, July 5, and August 2, 2019, it will be free to play and explore Explorations V Children’s Museum from 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. thanks to the Iron Horse Family Foundation of Lakeland.
Explorations V Children’s Museum has three floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits. The main level named “Our Town” and mimics a child-size pretend city. This type of play is the cornerstone of childhood and allows Museum educators opportunities to interject literacy development, collaboration, and access to technology and robotics workshops weekly. The upper level currently features a temporary experience called “Explore Art”, which is made possible through a grant from Visit Central Florida. In this gallery, children use technology to make art in three different ways but without the screen time. The lower level is “O is for Oranges” and takes guests on a journey from orange seed to orange juice factory and beyond.
