Red Ribbon Family Fun Run

InnerAct Alliance is proud to present the 1-mile Family Fun Run, the largest youth-oriented running event in Polk County.

This is a 1-mile Fun Run that will loop around Lake Mirror, in Lakeland.

About the Red Ribbon Run

The Red Ribbon Run is a 30-year Tradition in Lakeland/Polk County. This one-mile fun run is the centerpiece for the Red Ribbon Campaign – a national awareness campaign to promote health and prevent harm. There are heats for each grade level and gender as well as a Family Race where everyone can run together. Thousands of kids run each year and many of their parents and grandparents ran when they were kids too! Runners are chip-timed and trophies are awarded for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place girls and boys each grade.

There is a fierce battle for the top participating school as well.

NOTE: There is also the Red Ribbon Challenge during the whole month of October where you can participate, gain points and win a prize as an individual or a family.

Venue

Beautiful Downtown Lakeland’s Lake Mirror Promenade is centerstage for the run and vendor area where there are tons of great snacks, activities and helpful information for the students and their families about a healthy lifestyle.
