Florida’s happiest theatre company TheatreWorks Florida is back with a bang, and promises not to disappoint! After a short hiatus, Theatreworks Florida has returned with a series of highly entertaining shows to be held at the Haines City Community Theatre. The ‘Small But Mighty Musicals’ series will be held between September ’21 and March ’22, where you can attend individual shows or subscribe for the season. Over the series you’ll experience shows featuring everything from 50’s hits, to Disney classics, broadway standards, schmaltzy Christmas favorites, to the celebrated spectacular Ain’t Misbehavin’.

Shows will be held at the new Balmoral Event Center on Highway 27 at Haines City where you can round-off your theatre-going evening off after each show at the Balmoral Bar and Grill. Or why not get dinner and a show?!

PLAID TIDINGS (Dec 3 – 12, 2021) – Presented by Mahalak Auto Group
Plaid Tidings is a brand new show filled with Christmas standards that have all been “Plaid-erized,” our boys who are back to do their Christmas Special. At first, the boys aren’t sure why they’ve returned to Earth, but a phone call from the heavenly Rosemary Clooney lets them know that they’re needed to put a little harmony into a discordant world. This truly “heaven-sent” holiday treat will lift audiences’ spirits and fill them with nostalgia for a bygone era of classic music!

Ain’t Misbehavin’ is one of the most popular, well-crafted revues of all time and winner of the 1978 Tony Award for Best Musical! The inimitable Thomas “Fats” Waller rose to international fame during the Golden Age of the Cotton Club and that jumpin’ new beat, swing music. Ain’t Misbehavin’ evokes the delightful humor and infectious energy of this American original as a versatile cast struts, strums and sings the songs that he made famous in a career that ranged from uptown clubs to downtown Tin Pan Alley to Hollywood and concert stages in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
