The Annual Budweiser Smoke on the Water BBQ Festival is hosted each February and is Florida BBQ Association’s State Championship. Funds raised benefit the Citrus Center Boys & Girls Clubs of Winter Haven, Lake Wales and Haines City. More than 80 teams from across the country will compete for the Florida State Grand Champion title. Unique entertainment includes live music and a Cypress Water Sports Ski Show on beautiful Lake Cannon.
Come for BBQ on Saturday, February 4. The festivities kick off at 10:00 a.m. with the national anthem. Entry fee is just $2.00. Awards for the best chicken, ribs, pork, brisket and sauce will be announced at 5:30 p.m. Can’t wait? Start the party on Friday, February 3 during and evening of BBQ, live music and fireworks. It’s open to the public at 5:00 p.m. for a $20 donation.
