Sean Serdynski and his crew have worked hard in planning for this special event which draws visitors from all over the state. Last year nearly 10,000 people attended SyFy Bartow. "We welcome all cosplayers, the curious science fiction fan, and steam punk enthusiasts," Sean said. "The best part of this is there is no cost - it's free!"

The event features syfy vendors, kids' activities, an amusement area, costume contests for people and pets, face painting, trivia games, music, film and television props, an iconic movie car show, character karaoke, and more.

SyFy Bartow will kick off at Friday Fest on February 17 with a costume parade. Those who want to participate are asked to contact Main Street Bartow at 863-519-0508. Secret judges in the audience will present awards for the best costumes on Friday evening. More prizes for costumers will be awarded on Saturday for humans, aliens, and pet costumes.
