11:00 am - 9:00 pm

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and all their friends will be among those waiting for you at the 4th Annual SyFy Bartow, a family street festival featuring science fiction make-up artists, music and entertainment and special exhibits.

The free family festival will feature two costume contests, an art show, superhero karaoke, food, live music, science fiction vendors, large size props including Doctor Who's Tardis, a movie and television car show, a play area for kids, local authors and stars such as George Lowe aka Space Ghost, Joel D. Wynkoop, 501st Tampa Star Wars Club, USS HAVEN Star Trek Club, cosplayers, face painting, horror and sci-fi make up demonstrations and more.

Chuck Dixon and two other comic book artists who have written for DC and Marvel will be signing autographs, as well.

SyFy Bartow is getting in on the hidden rock trend, painting and hiding four special rocks. Pictures will be posted on the Facebook page, SyFy Bartow Rocks. Those who find these special rocks and return them to the Main Street Bartow office after the event will win prizes.

You can also paint rocks and hide them before or during SyFy Bartow. If you find one you can keep it, take a picture and post on the Facebook pages and hide it in a different place.
