Top Gun – World Championship Pilot Event
Top Gun is a World Championship Event featuring top radio control model pilots from around the globe. More than 130 pilots and their super scale radio controlled aircraft will be competing for cash and prizes in eight categories, and the very sought after title of “Mr. Top Gun.”
There are eight classes, and winners are determined for each class after all portions of the rigorous static and flight scoring schedule are completed. The scores are calculated, and winners are determined. Aircraft from WWI era through today’s most modern aircraft are represented at TOP GUN. Both propeller driven aircraft and jets will be in action. A new helicopter class will also be in competition.
As with all FTE events there is always a great food court, lots of hobby vendors and many other things at TOP GUN. Tickets are only $10 at the gate, parking is free, children 12 and under are free and there are over 1000 chairs for those who don’t bring their own. Enter from West Pipkin Rd. just west of the GEICO bldg.
