Bridgemaster Fishing Products was started some time during 1976 in Jensen Beach, Florida, in a garage by twin brothers, Ron & Don Hardy, building and repairing rods. As the business grew, an opportunity presented itself for Ron Hardy to move the business to Central Florida while expanding into supplying the store with a multitude of fishing tackle supplies. Since then, under the former owner’s wife, Josie Hardy, the business grew by leaps and bounds in both the retail and wholesale markets, offering new, reconditioned and discontinued merchandise.
Since then we have earned the nickname of “The Fisherman’s Candy Store”, so much so that we added a listing to the yellow pages under that name because people kept saying that the Candy Store was not listed! As we grow in business, so does our store. Several years ago was a roof over, which is helping to provide a more comfortable experience while you shop. Our new owner, Jimmy Durham, is continually making improvements, while adding to your shopping pleasure, but not taking any more from your wallet than before. We are now selling all new, never used, rods and reels; an ever-growing selection of lures; more apparel/sunglasses/accessories; and a larger section of marine products.
